WELCOME TO THE MAP SHOP AT 110 HINDLEY ST

After around 30 years in Peel St we have moved from a plain nondescript mid 20th C cream brick building to the gorgeous and historic  Austral Stores building. See a map of the new location and check our opening hours on the front page of this site by clicking the lefthand menu item "Open Times".

There is short term parking in front of the new shop!

MAPS

We are called The Map Shop for one simple reason, we have more maps than you can poke a stick at! Folded maps, flat maps, laminated maps etc.

One small section of one wall of the shop. So many maps to choose from.

GLOBES & BOOKS

A huge selection of travel guides, atlases and more. We still have the same great range of globes but they are spread around a bit more in the new shop.

The new shop is "L" shaped - this section is around the back.

FLAGS

Did you know we sold flags? Oh yes, we've been selling them for years and not just these little hand waving sized ones but proper flags for flag poles and ones for the wall as well.

If you are after a particular flag we may just have it - if not we can probably get it for you.

AND THE REST

Let's see... there are posters, compasses, magnifying glasses, map pins, map dots, naval charts, gps units, digital maps, our custom mapping service..... What have I forgotten?

So much great stuff crammed into one shop!
